Wow. So you dont get an actual ticket to hang onto anymore. Or any festie information or anything like that? That's weird I loved the VIP tickets we got last year
Someone mentioned something about those type of souvenir tickets being given out after the gate.

It's a handling fee that goes towards paying for the system and the scanners on site. So even though we are not using "postage", there are indeed hard costs associated with this system, and as you have experienced VIP entry is a bit more involved than General Admission, so the fee is slightly higher.

The whole check-in process is a bit more more involved at VIP than it is at General Camping entrances. (Not trying to speak for him, but I believe that's what Jim was getting at when he referenced the "system").

Dispensing the VIP extras over and above the scanning.
extras - i like the sound of that
but are these new extras or the old extras
shifting those costs off the ticket -
2010 $420
2011 $420 plus VIP fees
2012 $420 + "special double secret" VIP fees ?
2013 $420 + Feck gets banned for startin trouble
Ok i guess

The ticket design has yet to be revealed.
I have not actually seen them, but I am told that we will not be disappointed.
i guess i'm more wondering how this is gonna go down.. when we show up thursday will we told to come back say friday and when we do is it a possibility that we will then be told "oh sorry they were all handed out."

It's in the works and I really don't expect it'll be an issue.
Although I did suggest at one point that a print it yourself collector's commemorative ticket option be added.
... I got the old "crickets sound"

And I do really enjoy having the actual tickets to keep - I'm glad to hear that they will be made available.
