My kids are gone with their Dad for like 12 days. It is weird when they are gone that long. I tend to get VERY low maintenance. Dinner, beer and pretzels :) Lunch/Dinner, brownies. You get the idea :)

I told the kids to make sure they put all of their liquids into a quart size zip lock so Abby comes out with a baggy full of clear liquid. "No babygirl, put the bottle of perfume into the bag not pour the liquid into the bag."

and if they had checked in but then didn't make it onto the plane, i would have hoped that the airline/airport would have put out a search party! were they not rather cavalier about a couple of missing kids??

 Yeah I told them to check in at the desk so i'm not exactly sure what happened there.- and I called the airline before hand and they don't really pay attention to kids unless they're 12 and under. Hopefully they'll be on the 9am cause they're not coming back home!

There's a movie in there somewhere, ala Home Alone.

Or maybe an action flick. Two kids left at the airport for a coupla weeks kick the terrorists' asses!

:gah: Fucking they're on standby along with 25 other people trying to get to the same place. They had a flight with one seat but Jerry said they're not splitting up. I can't believe they gave their freaking seat away. :headbang:

It's okay sean- my sister said the same thing to me- about me.

I should keep them together though right? There's only two more flights out today that are nonstop- if i could get Abby on either of those I would say she should get on it- jerry I'm more confident could navigate Baltimore airport if he had to change planes.

Ugh! I'd bet Jerry could handle Baltimore easily. Would be best to keep them together if possible but they could handle it. Come on, they're YOUR kids! Hang in there.

If I could have gotten Abby there on a nonstop flight I would have done it, but it was looking unlikely. - yeah, we definietly have differnet parenting styles. :funny1:

Oh they're back and they're pissed. They are so my kids.

My kids have been gone for 7 days. The remote hasn't been lost once and I haven't raised my voice. If I didn't miss my daughter's cheeks and my son's sarcasm, this would be perfect. I will go smell their pillows. Then drink a beer for breakfast :D

 Enjoy your peace.

Round 2- hopefully they get on this plane and then easily get on the connector. I sent enough sandwiches and apples to carry them through til Halloween. It's going to be a long day awaiting the phone call that they have been retrieved by my sister.

I've decided to spend my first childless evening cleaning my apartment top to bottom while I suck on a cocktail so I can get the full experience for two weeks of what it might be like if I did not have children. To come home with everything in exactly the same condition I left seems wholly outside the realm of reality. I even bought a pint of ice cream and plan to only eat a little of it to see if it will still be in the freezer tomorrow when I come home from work. We shall see.
