My kids are gone with their Dad for like 12 days. It is weird when they are gone that long. I tend to get VERY low maintenance. Dinner, beer and pretzels
Lunch/Dinner, brownies. You get the idea
I imagine I''ll be eating a lot of pizza and china sent me home with an entire blackberry pie.

I told the kids to make sure they put all of their liquids into a quart size zip lock so Abby comes out with a baggy full of clear liquid. "No babygirl, put the bottle of perfume into the bag not pour the liquid into the bag."
Damn it- they missed their flight. They didn't realize they were supposed to board and the airline gave their seats away.
Wow! Their first misssed flight....how sweet

Yeah I told them to check in at the desk so i'm not exactly sure what happened there.- and I called the airline before hand and they don't really pay attention to kids unless they're 12 and under. Hopefully they'll be on the 9am cause they're not coming back home!
hope they're able to make it out on the next flight!

I should keep them together though right? There's only two more flights out today that are nonstop- if i could get Abby on either of those I would say she should get on it- jerry I'm more confident could navigate Baltimore airport if he had to change planes.

that sucks i would not have broken them up but i'm a worry wart so don't listen to me. i was having panic attacks about my 21 year old flying to Cali on a direct flight.
If I could have gotten Abby there on a nonstop flight I would have done it, but it was looking unlikely. - yeah, we definietly have differnet parenting styles.
Oh they're back and they're pissed. They are so my kids.

Round 2- hopefully they get on this plane and then easily get on the connector. I sent enough sandwiches and apples to carry them through til Halloween.

I've decided to spend my first childless evening cleaning my apartment top to bottom while I suck on a cocktail so I can get the full experience for two weeks of what it might be like if I did not have children. To come home with everything in exactly the same condition I left seems wholly outside the realm of reality. I even bought a pint of ice cream and plan to only eat a little of it to see if it will still be in the freezer tomorrow when I come home from work. We shall see.
