Or at the very least the SE. By then beginning of October! Eeesh, I hate the idea of leaving the west, it's been my home since 2003 (CO, AZ, NM)

My ex wants to relocate, and is fro GA. She has a lot of family throughout GA, so that's where she's going. And the way I see it, where my son goes, I go.

Oh why Athens?? They have a grad program at UGA I'm interested in. As if going back to school/working/and supporting my son were realistic, but I've had some crazy ideas before and those have worked out... well some of them

lots of good music there and having additional family around to maybe assist with your son is a good thing. Plus you can get a direct flight from Atlanta ( not to far from Athens) to NY and go to Vibes.

Dude, I lived in Atlanta for seven years, and my best advice is that as a single, above college age male, your going to be better off living in Atlanta, inside the perimeter. By the way inside the perimeter means that you live inside the I-285 loop. OTP means the burbs.

Atlanta has so much more to offer than Athens, and you are still within easy reach of your child. You can get from Midtown Atlanta to downtown Athens in an hour and ten minutes after rush hour traffic is over.

can't say i'd pick Georgia over any of those states out west... but when you're a parent i guess those things are ancillary.

at least ya got some nice wilderness to play in.
