Losing any child is devastating.....
My son just lost a second child ... Michael Francis was born at 7:15 am and died at 9:42 am today. Sadly, he is not coping well at all, and understandably so....
If you have anything to spare, i would appreciate any love, prayer, vibes, positive thoughts you can spare for Arthur, Erica and little Mikey

You guys are all awesome. I got a text from my son this afternoon...telling me how our grandson looked just like him, especially his nose
I got all teary and remembered his rage and fury from yesterday...I texted back
He said "No. "
So for this, i thank you all from the bottom of my heart for filling up his bucket. The hardest part of losing family you haven't gotten a chance to know, is feeling the pain that your family endures...

Grandma's sister passed away yesterday Too much alternating joy and sadness this past 2 weeks...I seriously wonder if this is how bi-polar people feel.... its pretty shitty. I can't begin to imagine having to deal with these emotions year round, day after day....

My granddaughter Kayla Marie would have been 2 today. I think I'm going to have birthday cake for dinner anyway and see if some chocalate will ease summa the sadness away~

Thank you everyboardie. Funeral was tough yesterday...Grandma is sooooooo heartbroken Plus, Aunt Pauline's plot is right next to Grandma's husband's grave...which also creeps me out, because that's my husband's name on that marker. 25 years later I can't shake the uneasy feeling seeing it gives me.

And switch gears again. Today is my kid's birthday. Grandson turned 10 today and I'm supposed to be back on the upswing of this emotional wave today.....so here goes something else.

Don't know when this crappy month will end....but after 17 years of sharing smiles, making us watch where we step, being the pillow, the footrest and sometimes the terrier cloth towel we rely on to absorb late night tears, our last girl is finally going home on Wednesday to be with her sister (Pout the white bully) and brother (Rommel, Momma's big guy)

Its really tough letting go....

Yeah. So today is teh BIG suck. We are in the "golden hour" as it were....her doctor appt is at 11 am.
I can't think straight at the moment....between the feelings, the tears, and the leftover/residual wine effects from last night. So, here is what I posted on Flickr for my personal friends to read, after we made "the appt" on my birthday

How my heart is breaking. This is the toughest goodbye yet....because it is planned and its hard to say if its the "right" thing to do.
But we promised to never let them suffer, and we as humans can only understand so much from our babies that cannot talk.
But last night, we made the decision that Wednesday will be Sparky's last earthly day. No more heat exhaustion. No more pooping in her bed. No more falling up or down the stairs, or sliding when we eat. Being blind and deaf, no more fear or uncertainty, no more bumping into furniture or walls while children giggle
No more kisses, furry football, handle wagging.
Just one last hug goodbye and newly broken hearts for a bit, but most importantly, no more suffering~
After we made that decision, she fell asleep in her usual spot...and for the second time for me, and the first time for Peter since the other babes passed, she had a dream and together we heard her bark for the first time in years.
I hope that was her way of letting us know she's happy with our reasoning..."

Thanks cj and sarah b. I brought Sparky's ashes home today. I thought I'd steeled myself, but it was still a floodgate when I got her "back in my arms" Must have looked like an idiot balling in a parking lot

But now that she's "back home" and on the hearth with our other 2, Rommel and Pout, I feel better. A lot more at ease, and a little better about the fact that she's in a better place even though we still miss her, them, something fierce
