i slept for about an hour. i tried to go back to sleep but that just wasn't happening.... the doctor said he might live through the night, might not. it's a treacherous drive up to bend today. makai is going to do the drive with me. the high temp is supposed to be 24

well he is 81, has had this aneurysm for years, is in very poor health, smokes and is overweight so he knows he wouldn't make it through a surgery. the doctor agreed with him... she said he would have plenty of morphine and would be comfortable.

my dad has always been very matter-of-fact about death. he's been ready for awhile... and fine with it.

in that case, may you get there safely and in time and may his journey be a peaceful and happy one. You seem philosophical about this, Sums...I think that is a good thing
