Love the warmer weather! :jamguy:

I'm down .4 this week. I'm only .8 away from 10lbs lost- next week I am so going to hit it!!! I believe that'll also be my 5% too.

Now someone help me out here. If you lose 20 pounds and you hit your 10% doesn't that mean that you weighed 200 pounds to start? So if someone figures out that I lost 10 pounds next week and it's my 5% can they figure out what I weighed??

yes the equation you want is

(start weight) x .05 (bc 5% is 0.05, 10% is 0.10, 20% is 0.20 etc) = 10 lbs
so when you solve for start weight = 10/0.05 = (well I won't put the answer in there but thats the formula)

So i didn't weigh in for two weeks... in that time i gained .6 lbs.

I thought it would be worse because i ate a lot of chocolate last week

So today i am feeling good and eating well and ready to drop 10 more before the wedding! :v:

I have been doing a combination of Weight Watchers and lo-carb....so far it's working.
I am guilty of being a calorie counter and when I diet I go waaaay too low on the calories which is actually counter-productive :joker: When I do that I think my metabolism slows down for sure.

Going to the gym is key. I've been going 5 days a week and if anything it just gives me a feeling of well being even if I still have 15 lbs to lose!

Down another .4. I am .4 away from 10lbs total lost. Gah I was SO sure I would make it today. :bang:

I did hit my 5% which is cool. I know I have to just keep on keeping on but it's pretty discouraging. :plain:

It's snoe.down weekend coming up and I'm nervous about gaining. There's only beer at the show so I'm going to try and limit myself to only 2, but I know myself and know how good it will taste and that I will want 4. I am being good and making healthier cookies and lasagna so I can "count" for it. I'm also going to be riding 2 days which will help.

So I weighted my self this morning for the end of this month. I lost another 5lbs. Its been a slow weight loss, about 5lbs a month but I also haven't really deprived myself either. I have been just making better choices and watching portion sizes. So my total so far since January is 15lbs down. My next goal is at the very least 10 more lbs by labor day weekend. I can do it.

Good job Joe and GM!!

I was good last night- instead of making the crazy peanut butter brownie rice crispie treats I made chocolate chocolate chip cookies from the WW website. They're really good, especially since my unsweetened cocoa is dark chocolate instead of the regular. They're really yummy for about a point a cookie.

I want a treadmill at home. Hmph.

We have an exercise bike, and um, we barely use it. Maybe it's better we don't have a treadmill to collect dust.

I'm seriously considering getting one. I want a nice one, but I don't want to spend $2,000 on a nice one, either.

Anybody have one? Mind if I ask what kind/where you got it/how much?

I have been so busy with school and teaching that I wish I had an extra 5 hours in a day.... that way I could do more and workout without loosing sleep.

Hopefully after my paper i will have better time management and get on the darn thing more

Georgi I would recommend checking out craigs list or something similar. Many people have the best intentions to exercise, buy a nice one, rarely use it, and sell it for cheap.

Today at weigh in I was down 1.4 to bring my total weight lost to 11 pounds. Not sure how I pulled it off after snoe.down and yesterday being filled with chocolate and cookies but I did it. It might haunt me next week but I'll revel in this week's victory as long as I can. I also walked to work today which surely helped (about a mile and a half).

What I wouldn't give for an elliptical at home. Or a treadmill. Or a reasonably proced gym membership.

Thankfully, we're inching closer to warmer weather so I can get back to my walking and maybe even (gasp!) make an attempt at C25K.

Thankfully, the shake weight craze seems to have died down. I think everyone finally clued into the fact that you look like you're jerking off a horse when you use it. :funny1:

That plus some reviews came out that shows there isn't as much benefit to these weights as the manufacturer wants toyou to think (surprise, surprise!) Bestter off with a standard set of dumbbells and some tried and true weight exercises.

The Shake Weight for men commercial is even more hilarious (and possibly NSFW):

I misbehaved all weekend in Montreal. No tracking, not a lot of exercise (OK, I walked 2km on Sunday, but that was for a smoked meat sandwich), lots of beer. I enjoyed it, but it's time to pay the piper and get back on track today.

I wasn't in Montreal this weekend but I definitely mis-behaved. After Friday I didn't track a thing, ate a lot of cheesecake, drank a lotta beer, and ate junk. Yesterday I was back at my desk and was going to be good but I just had a terrible day with chocolate and cookies.

oh well. It's funny that sometimes after I have a bad week I end up losing anyway. Of course the scale will tell tomorrow!

They're trying to make it more like the iPhone app where it's a gateway to the website rather than requiring you to go to mobile.weightwatchers.com to track, check recipes, etc.

When it's finished it'll probably be nice.

I'm not going up but I am definitely losing my motivation. I lost .2 this week, which somewhat counteracts the .8 I gained last week.

My at work program ends in 3 weeks and I really wanted to lose 20 by the time it was over. I'll probably come in around 15 which isn't too bad but I will probably sign up for another round and keep at it.

I have never been a lifetime member and have always wanted it. Maybe this is the time. :undecided::lol:
