It was a good story... easy to read... only took a few hours. (over a couple days)

I don't think animalism can be compared to democracy, though, or social programs.

If anything, animalism began as communism, and ended in fascism.

The first seven laws didn't make any sense to begin with.

I can imagine it might make a huge impact on impressionable minds -- a good one... a little bit of questioning authority in there along with the Zen from Benjamin the Donkey.
