I should've been more careful before I put a case of water in my trunk and set my extinguisher off (accidentally) twice.
Apparently, the pin had come loose. So I got ABC powder all over my trunks and bits toward the front.
Apparently heat makes ABC extinguisher powder adhere to surfaces and become difficult to remove.
It hasn't been a fun morning, emptying and tidying up my car enough so I don't feel like I'm inhaling ABC powder. I vacuumed a bunch. I should vacuum and wipe down more. Tonight. First, work. Oh, and I need to pick up a new fire extinguisher. I'd had the old one since I was a teen. Glad I never needed it to put out a fire. Stupid ABC powder.

Thank you for the PSA.

Also, that is one way to facilitate trunk cleaning.

omg, if my mom had known how effective it is, she'd've extinguished my room when I was in high school!

That's comic gold, Ms. B!

I guarantee you're having more fun today than I did the day my cousin broke a 3-gallon glass jug of Lambrusco in the boot of her leased Rav 4. That was a nightmare in Baltimore in mid-April. Need trunk cleaning help? I can pass you her number...

You've had that one for ~10 years and it still worked? I'm kind of surprised it had enough "juice" to make a mess.

I vaccumed a few times, and i still want to vacuum some more? That stuff is super-sneezy.

Thanks for posting this Sarah. I lost the pin for mine sometime last year and ended up jamming a pen in.....but I needed that pen at Strange creek. I ended up shoving two bolts in and repacked it in my crate. I think you saved me from having a big big mess.

Not according to the rules, lostreality. It came from the kitchen in my old apartment and just kind of stayed there.

I'm glad someone else theoretically was prevented from creating their own version of today's mess. :) i was able to fashion a meantime pin from a paper clip, but when i was reading it, it said to toss it if the gauge was on empty, and it was in that colored area, so, gone. (I'm not bringing a stove, but if I see a solar-powered dust-buster, i might get one. Lol.)
