View Full Version : Gluten Intolerance & Mold question
i've been reading up on the connection between gluten intolerance/celiac and mold.
i also just read " Dr. Mercola also posts that corn is almost always infested with mold, and often peanuts are too."
could mold allergies be the cause of both gluten intolerance AND peanut allergies?
*(here's a link to the website i quoted the above from http://neurotalk.psychcentral.com/showthread.php?t=13737 )
here's a link to a thread on the Celiac & Gluten-free forums about Xantham Gum possibly being a trigger (as well as some corn posts)

I have no idea, but I do know that now that I know I have celiac disease, I'm going to go to an allergist to make sure I don't have a dairy or soy intolerance either, because most things I'm munching on that are gluten-free and don't have wheat, they still say contain soy, contain milk...blah blah. I really hope I don't. I'll end up eating grass trimmings and twigs if that's the case. :funny1:
(I will read those links when I get home. )

dairy free, gluten free is hard....but totally doable.
My friend Jill from IIN is vegan and dairy free...she has been that way since she was diagnosed with Lupus 5 years ago...because she changed her diet, she is medication and (basically) symptom free. It's amazing what the healing power of food can do...and it's amazing the damage the wrong food can do.
Kate, i haven't looked into the whole mold/gluten intolerance...but it really makes logical sense!!

I've been wondering for the longest time WHY people are having Peanut Allergies everywhere, when i was a kid, i think there were 2 people in my whole school!
And now Celiac is popping up everywhere too!
It just didn't make any sense to me, but now.....if we know it's a symptom of mold allergies, it makes more sense!
I think corn allergies are going to be next.

There are some studies starting to crop up about peanut anaphylaxis and vaccination. Apparently there is a protein in some of the vaccinations loading (not sure which vaccination) that has the same base (protein chain) as the peanut protein. If children are given peanut(products) or a breast feeding mother eats peanuts right after the child is vaccinatied, when the body is building the immunities, the body reacts to the peanut protein thinking it's the protein from the vaccination and it causes the future allergy!!!!
And I totally agree, i think that soy and corn are probably going to be next, because they're so genetically modified and so persistent in out diets.
i know a few people who have had an "overdose" in soy and had to completely remove soy from their diet. the estrogen literally collected in their body until they had such a bad reaction their doctors told them to stop all consumption of products with soy in the ingredients.
crazy.

Well gluten is a highly complex protein that is mostly occurs in grains such as wheat, rye, barley, and oats. Gluten also exist in all baked products or foods that is made from grains like pies, bread, cereals, porridge, cookies, pasta and cake. And there are still foods that contain gluten. Elucidation according to my trusted resource is still needed to clarify the onset of the disorder. And gluten intolerance may appear in any age, never outgrown, we have to avoid gluten to control some offensive effect in our body through taking gluten-free foods that we can consume with. Try to prevent it through gluten-free diet.
Thanks a lot and have a nice day ahead!
