Did anyone else catch Deep Banana Blackout at the Paradise in Boston this past Sunday??

It was a KILLER show!!! Probably the best DBB show that I have seen. Even better than '06 Vibes at ILCC. I guess it helped that the Paradise is a "up close & personal" kind of club. It also might have to do with something that I may or may not have ingested:wink:

I think it was something you ingested.

Don't get me wrong, they're always fun. But not my favorite show by any means.

It was a fun show. I was pretty wiped from the weekend by the time 10 pm rolled around on Sunday. But I was hanging with some good peeps which definitely helped make the show what it was. It was a fun show. More covers than I was expecting, but I am not complaining. The "Maggot Brain" as part of the encore was beautiful.

You should always make DBB if you can. Especially with the looming possibility you won't make vibes.

that possibility is looking less possible...definitely not thinking of not making Vibes, now, if it's at all possible

but i'll already be in Brooklyn doing the volunteer thing, so unless something more fun pops up, i'll probably check this out. i used to like DBB a lot (first show being on a riverboat in NOLA didn't hurt) but the last couple of times i saw them left me saying "meh".

Fred Wesley from the great James Brown horn section will be with them at that Green Apple volunteers show. If you're volunteering, that's a good reason enough to go. Not to mention that it's New York and you never know who else may be hanging out or sitting in that night. :)
