okay, so that's the same title of a thread i created on the last board but i never went back and updated. but now i am.

damn, i love my epilator!!! :funny1:

i have never waxed and i'm told i'm not very furry and i have a reasonably good tolerance for pain. so - with those disclaimers:

i really like it and am very glad i made the investment (a little under $100 at the time). i go several weeks without having to shave and i personally don't think it hurts that much especially now that i'm completely used to it. it never bothered me on my legs, the bikini area used to require just a little teeth-gritting and the underarms were even more sensitive. although i still may go ooh and yowch a couple of times, i'm very used to it now and i'd have to say the thing freakin' rocks. it has taken me anywhere from 30-60 minutes to do legs, bikini and underarms, depending on how long the hair got and what i'm doing exactly. i still shave on occasion but if i have the time, i choose the epilator over shaving.

i bought the Emjoi Light Caress rechargeable. it's a tweezer type. i think it works best plugged in but it's nice to have the charge option too. here's a link to the one i got, though from a different website

anyway, thought i'd finally finish my thought from long ago. better late than never???

Okay, so I was reading the reviews from the link that was posted. Is this for REAL? It sounds like someone may have gotten upset with the company and tried to sabotage them. But oh my god.....

This device is extremely dangerous. I was using it on my chin when it riped into my skin. As an instinctive reaction I jerked it away from my face bouncing the device off of the mirror I was holding and then into my eye. ernie my boyfriend passed out from all of the blood and I had to drive myself to the hospital. I now have a glass eye and a skin graph thanks to this thing. "

...I'm still going to try this thing. :)
