Nice! I was looking at the EC1000s earlier this year for a short scale guitar. Is it awesome or what?!?!? I didn't go ahead with it when my wife had car trouble, then the economy hit the crapper..... :undecided:

I use custom strats, I do not have a pic of my current "main one", but here is the back up:
http://www.frankdenigris.com/guitar.jpg
I'm looking to make it a little brighter, either with new p'ups or 500-1,000 meg vol/tone pots.

My main amp:
http://www.frankdenigris.com/amp.jpg

My effects, one missing is a Huckleberry Fuzz that replaced the DGTM:

lovetone "cheesesource" if you can find one and can afford it. Lovetone made top of the line analog effects to order in England. they stopped and a company called dinosaural took over. they also stopped so to get one someone has to be selling it. try ebay. they start at around $400

generally yes, the compressor would come first in your signal chain. But its not an absolute. try mixing up the order and seeing how they interact with eachother

Resurrection "Lightning Bolt" tribute. - While this guitar is not quite an exact replica of Jerry's Lightning Bolt, it is based on the exact design , woodworking and electronics (with the exception of a MIDI system). It is truly a beauty to play and it is my main guitar.

http://www.fennario.us/images/Gear/bolt.jpg

Paul Reed Smith Custom 24 - 10 Top. In my obsessive "search for the sound" I had ripped out the electronics and pickups and experimented in "Jerryfying" it. I ended up putting the PRS pickups back in but modified the guitar for an onboard effects loop and EMG JG2 unity gain buffer. If not for my Resurrection this would be the finest guitar I have ever played - let alone owned.

http://www.fennario.us/images/Gear/prs.jpg

- I use a modified 73 Fender Twin Silverface. It has been modified to Blackface specs and has the most complete "Jerry mods" that I believe Jerry's amp actually had.

http://www.fennario.us/images/Gear/amp.JPG

- I built a 2 x 12 Hard Truckers style cabinet that houses 2 - JBL E120 speakers.

http://www.fennario.us/images/Gear/cab.JPG

- My effects are run in a pre-volume loop configuration directly from my guitar. They are all also mounted on a PedalPad MS9 pedal board. Here's the current list of effects that I use:
Loop I/O breakout box
Boss Tuner
Maxon PH350 Rotary Phaser (not pictured)
Boss OC2 Octave
Electro Harmonix Q-Tron
Boss OD2 Turbo Overdrive
Boss OS2 Overdrive/Distortion
Boss GE7 EQ
Boss DD20 Giga Delay
Electro Harmonix Holy Grail Reverb

lord knows where i'll find one of those pieces, though. woof.

i didn't forget, it just took 14 months to reach this state, so i snapped a quick cameraphone pic @ a rehearsal last night:

http://i105.photobucket.com/albums/m221/goplastic/pedalboard.jpg

bass >

EHX MicroPOG > D.I. (not in picture) > Moog MF-102 > Copilot Orbit > Tech 21 SansAmp Bass Driver > Moog MF-101 > Dunlop Rotovibe > Boss DD-5 >

amplifier.

DD-5 has attached FS-5U for tap tempo.
MF-101 controlled by Moog MP-201 to far left of pic.

a small 2nd pedalboard where the D.I. now sits will be added soon, consisting of another ocatver, volume pedal and the D.I., for indedpendent control of a sub-bass channel. for the meantime, i just send the MicroPOG signal direct to board.

Still don't have a good picture showing everything together, but here's what I'm using currently for my live set up:

Controllers/Hardware:
-M-Audio Axiom 49 keyboard
-M-Audio Axiom 25 keyboard
-Novation Launchpad for controlling effects and triggering samples
-Kore 2 controller for controlling effects
-Cakewalk/Roland UA-25EX audio interface (with balanced outs, no DI boxes needed :Phishfolk:)

The above all control software on my Macbook:
-Either Ableton Live or Native Insturments Kore 2 host, depending on the project
-NI Massive for synths
-NI B4 II for organs
-NI Kontakt for vocal samples and acoustic instrument samples
-NI Reaktor 5, NI Guitar Rig 3 and built in Live/Kore modules for processing vocal samples (EQ/filter>compressor>tremolo>chorus>delay 1>looping effects>frequency shifter/ring mod>grain delay>lp/hp/bp filter>delay 2>rotary simulator) <--I realize this seems a bit haphazard, but there is logic behind it:smile:

whole thing weighs ~30 pounds (minus stands and amp), so i can travel with it pretty easily on public transportation assuming i can borrow a stand at my destination

the Pigtronix-built board, as it looks tonight (same picture from the Bobby thread i started on Family Forum). physically this is the final model, though it was have some interior differences tomorrow when i pick it up for keeps. i figured here would be a good place to explain it, rather than over there.

http://i105.photobucket.com/albums/m221/goplastic/Pedalboardfinishedwiringcheck.jpg

the chain is a bit rough to follow, but let's see how well i do:

bass >

custom patch bay *0* (audio input [to Microcrusher input]/audio trigger input [to Philosopher King trigger input]/CV input [to Philosopher King CV input) > BugBrand Microcrusher (with handbuilt on/off trigger)> Pigtronix Mothership *1* analog synth (sub out to Keymaster) > Electro Harmonix MicroPOG > Pigtronix Philosopher King *2* (footswitchable) > Copilot FX Orbit ringmodulated distortion> Pigtronix Polysaturator overdrive > Pigtronix Envelope Phaser *3* > Boss DD-5 Digital Delay w/handbuilt tap-tempo > Pigtronix Keymaster w/expression control > Korg PitchBlack tuner >

Amplifier.

Not shown = Moog MP-201, programmed by myself to run Philosopher King via CV input, a variety of LFOs and Expression settings.

*0* - handbuilt, "one stop shopping" for all my inputs, as well as a mute built into the input so that when i'm not plugged in, no sound travels through the board.
*1* - custom modification = sub bass channel always engaged, even when synth is not engaged, so long as sub bass trigger is lit.
*2* - custom modifications = additional TRS jack installed to enable footswitchable input source, and voltage boosted so that CV input and internal output volumes are identical.
*3* - custom modification = voltage boosted to match true bypass output volume in active mode.

:rotf: it's going to take me weeks to figure out how to make these all play nice, and i have a gig in two days.

note 1: the Keymaster is taking a "sub" and "effect" input, and blends them into a single output. i can select on/off for either channel, though overwhelmingly i'll be using the expression pedal (at right) to blend between the two. full back = full effected send. full forward = strictly sub-bass send.

note 2: the Philosopher King handbuilt custom footswitch is plugged into a custom jack on the pedal. it's the double-footswitch red/green LED pedal at the front of the board. no LEDs lit = internal trigger on the compression/sustainer. red LED lit = audio trigger on same (say a kick drum patched directly in, or an electronic beat...this gives me live sidechaining, a.k.a "bass-ducking"). green LED lit = CV input trigger on same, the Moog MP-201 creating wobbles, womps or sweep/swells, MIDI synced if i so choose. red/green LED lit = sidechained wobbles, which were pretty much exclusively the realm of computer musicians before today.
