the herbs my chinese herbologist mixed for me are working!
My hormones are balancing out, I have more energy, I'm motivated, I'm HAPPY and POSITIVE despite unhappy things going on in my life, and I'm "regular" again.
I feel like I'm finding myself again, and I really missed this girl.

being on 3 different types of birth control within the last year really unbalanced my hormone levels. I don't really want to get into details, but I was...unbalanced. :lol:

a week after I started taking them (Saturday) is when I noticed a real difference. My mom noticed it in my eyes a couple days after I started...musicmomma says she can hear it in my voice, and yesterday a woman at work said I was beaming positivity when most people there are only faking it.
I want this feeling for EVERYONE! The only way to describe it is that my heart is happy and for me to feel that way right now is a miracle.

I just picked up the 2nd half of my herbs this afternoon. He had them made into capsules so that the taste doesn't bother me as badly.
My mom got home from 6 days of being away w/ her boyfriend last night. We sat down on the couch together and she was surprised to see how peaceful I was. I'm happier more than I'm sad these days. I feel like the real me is shining through again and it makes me so happy I could cry.
I love you ladies...seriously. You know who you are, you've been there for me through a difficult emotional time and once I finally let people in I realized that there ARE still people I can trust. I didn't realize how many people care about me until I let them. So thank you :heartbounce: I don't say that enough.

Very happy for you, Spiffy! :jam: I :heart: my Chinese herbs. Their ability to deal with something that my Western gyn couldn't identify, never mind treat, was a HUGE part of why I began my Chinese medical studies, a few years ago -- it worked! And the increase to my quality of life was priceless.

Note: With the kind of raw or powdered herbs that are ingested in tea or capsule formats, people's formulas are custom-tailored by the practicioner specifically for those people's bodies. While there are some prepackaged formulas which are patented to address some common things for most people, it's more effective to have someone who's certified in Chinese herbal medicine make a formula specifically for whatever's going on in your particular body, especially for gyn stuff (as opposed to a cold, asthma, or allergies or a sports injury, for examples, but even for those conditions, a tailored formula can be more effective).

So, what works for me is different than what's working for Spiffy, and would likely be different than what would work for anyone else (the amounts of specific herbs can vary in a tailored-for-someone formula, as well as which ones are used).
