Still has a wonderful view of Monadnock. Are their intentions to sod the area where the damage was done? If so, it could end up being different, but equally wonderful.

I don't know what the intentions are. I'm pretty sure we're moving the ceremony. I'm not paying the balance of our bill for something we didn't want...

so they waited until this week to tell you? nothing before that? when was the deadline when you could get a refund on the deposit?

Yeah, they've been telling me for the past 3 months that everything is fine. Then last weekend they called me and told me that it was completely destroyed. They don't usually give refunds on deposits, it's actually in the contract, but because of the severity of the situation, they are offering us a complete refund.

That really sucks Sunny! Still a beautiful spot but understandable why you want to move it. Glad you got your deposit back. :)

I think it's time to make a list of all the things that are going right for you so you can refer to it when shit like this happens. Seems you have had more than your share lately.

poor land owners. Mother nature is not one to be reckoned with.

Tiffany, so happy they are offering you your money back. That is a very wonderful thing. Ya kind of got to feel bad for them too.
I love your reception site. It's going to be perfect. And did I hear you say cheaper? BONUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

you deserve a beautiful honeymoon mama. That 800 bucks'll surely help you out with that right? :)

I feel bad for the land. Right now, I don't feel anything but anger towards the organization for leading us to believe that everything was fine for the past 3 months. Maybe later I can look back on this and feel bad for them, but not anytime soon or before the wedding.

Yes, it's saving us $800, but that will go towards the rest of the wedding fund. We still won't be taking a honeymoon. We talked today and might try to get a cabin on a lake in Maine for a few days though :)
