View Full Version : Sad little person

I'm a sad little person today.. My company is hanging in there, but sales are way down and we need to tighten our belts to stay afloat. We are going to have to restructure commissions, which makes sense, but I am already relying on commission to help with my monthly bills. It has more or less become a part of my salary (which isn't high enough to begin with for all the work I truly put in here).. I am scared to see what it will change to and how that will affect things.. Technically I have earned it, but with money being tight, they are going to take it away, which will help our bottom line and thus allow me a job 6 months from now.. So, I get it.. I just don't like it..

I am going to have to pull my kiddo out of his daycare that he loves because it is just too expensive and I know that.. I have known that for a while, but it still sucks because he is thriving there.

I am most likely NOT going to Vibes for a few reasons.. tonight's announcement might clarify it really fast for me, but overall, money is a huge factor, that and I don't have a babysitter for Gabe and I don't know if I am ready to take him yet. He might be in the middle of potty training, etc.. I just don't know.

Oh and there is so much more, but why dwell on it.. I will just say it loud and proud: I am a sad little package today..

that sucks, i'm sorry

as far as the day care, if you really don't wanna pull gabe out go and talk to them about it. Ask if there are any 'scholarships', or maybe you can have him there only 3 days a week. I don't know what your situation is with time coverage and whatnot.

I'm not going to vibes either! So if you and Al decide to go and need a sitter, I'm MORE than willing

Today we are having a meeting-- I had to let an employee go last night who is a really great guy, but the client isn't paying us (they owe us over 25,000 dollars, which to a little company, that's alot of money.. PLUS their controller basically said that there is no money to give us and to pull our employee).. But, he was upset, rightfully so and I am trying to get him right back to work by Monday at a job that is $2 more an hour.. I still feel like crap.

I am just sooo looking foward to 2 days where I do not have to think about my job. I am so happy I have one, but the stress that comes with it is killing me a bit.. I am stressing about everyone else who is out of work. I am already taking a mild anxiety happy pill to help me chill, but I think I just need a good dose of sunshine!

Thanks ladies for letting me whine and vent here.. I don't do it often, but if I don't get it off my chest, I will bottle it up and internalize it too much..

:heart1: I wish you were all here for a group hug and then we can go out for wine.. (non alcoholic for Sara, she isn't far enough along yet)

Aww Wabbit.. I wish we could really have a massive Pig Pile for you too!!

({({({({({({({({Vibe Ladies Group Hug})})})})})})})

I am like you as well, I dont like to whine or complain and I tend to bottle things up but this place(and you beautiful ladies) allow me to vent without any or atleast little judgement.

Its gotta be hard to deal with this kind of stress especially when it involves another persons lively hood. You should try and keep that chin up and think positive... you're doing what you can during some very hard times!
I hope he can get back to work like you said but if not, you tried ur best!
 Thats all you can do hun!

Good luck!

I hear ya!!! I'm in a similar boat.

We took a 20% pay cut back in August - it's been a hard adjustment but I trimmed all the fat out of our budget and I'm doing the best I can. I'm making less now than when I was hired 7 years ago. :undecided: The stress of my work environment is getting to me more than anything. I've had some serious anxiety issues lately. I have something medical going on right now - we're not sure yet what's up because I have some more tests to do but my doctor thinks I might have an ulcer

Everyday I wonder if today is going to be the day I get let go. I have little hope of finding something in my "field" [finance of luxury collateral] and no college degree.

My sister is about to finish maternity leave and she told me today that her daycare is going to be $175 per week! I don't know how you guys with kids do it.

I wish you the best.
