Where do the old boards go?

I notice that every year the boards get taken down and deleted.

Why is this?



Why can't there be a "year" option, and you could go back in time and see what was goin' down in 2002? or at least search a year from the archives. Is there something they are trying to hide? There is valuable info on the older boards as well as great memories and photos people posted that were just flushed away...

Also, I did a google search and I can still search and pull up the 2008 boards, but I can't find a link to that in this new and "improved" 2009 forum.

My understanding is that now that they've switched to these (bad ass) vBB board, they'd stick to it from now on.

That board is official dead, who knows how long it will last, I believe we turned off the posting ability. It could disappear tomorrow or it may be a round for a decade...

The last boards honestly sucked and that's why I never became a regular.

I'm a total snob when it comes to on-line communities.

This board's pretty much got it all.

I think the only option I've seen elsewhere which isn't installed here are the spoiler tags.

Besides that, this board takes the cake, hands down.

I think its just a facade though, I went here: http://web.archive.org/web/20011201151610/terrapin.infopop.net/3/OpenTopic , and couldn't get any further than this page. It said server error or something...
