Did the treadmill and the bike last night, and somehow I tripped the treadmill switch and almost fell off. :lmao: Rich was on the bike next to me and looked like this:  It was hilarious. :lmao:

I don't have room to put a machine in my house either. even if I did, the floors are too old, I'd end up in my sister's bedroom downstairs! (she rents the downstairs apartment)

I just love going out and walking 4-5 miles everyday.. once this snow is gone, I can start doing that again. that is by far my best exercise regime.. I hate the gym and never went when I had my membership. The only time I have time to go was late at night and then I am just too tired by then to care..

I belong to the central park gym. its free.

I am one of those crazy people who run in the cold, sub freezing weather.....I have been trying to run more lately , as I noticed I am carrying around a spare tire...and I hate it.

I do notice I feel better after I run and am a bit hornier.

Rich and I had the exercise bike in our spare bedroom, and the treadmill in the garage. Last night we straightened up in the garage and added the bike down there...so now it's like a little gym. :)

There are some really cool trails by my house. Stephen and I went a couple of weekends ago with Cheybees.

Im definitely going to go more once it's spring ahead time and I can go for a quick run in the woods with the pooch after work! :clapping:

Now they're covered with 8 inches of snow.......but they might be renting cross country skiis

yeah, I used to love to run outdoors and did some 5ks, 10ks a few years ago - wanted to do a marathon or 1/2 marathon and was training for one - god did I feel fantstic then ! But, once I moved here, the option of running outdoors like I used to almost isn't an option. I mean I suppose I could, but the roads are so narrow that I just wouldn't feel comfortable at all - and I'd have to wear very very reflective clothing. I'd prefer running outdoors, but I can't so my gym is the next best option. It's a small gym and most of the time I have the whole place to myself - sometimes there's 1, or 2 people there. I think the most there ever at the same time was 5! And another perk is it's right on the ocean which is inspiring.

I also love being able to use the spa facilities after - the jacuzzi, steam room and sauna....mmmmm....

I do 33 minutes (28 workout, 5 warm down), trust me, it gets easier the more you do it! I really think my height helps!
then I do abs
then I alternate days with upper/lower body
then I do a 5K on the treadmill (highest speed I'm up to is 3.4mph, but remember, I had knee surgery last September)

I dont know exactly why, but I feel the same way. I know there's got to be an explanation for it but I feel like Im gaining weight rather than slimming down.

Im not weight training and Im doing more cardio that anything so its puzzling me. Usually I have no problems slimming down around this time and who knows why its not going the same way!!?? :confused1:

So, the result of me skipping out on exercising all week last week and eating crap foods has me weighing 5 lbs. heavier. :crook: The scale actually said 10 lbs. heavier yesterday, but I had weighed myself after eating an entire Polish Plate that I had when we went out for Rich's bday dinner with his family. This morning it said I was 5 lbs. heavier, so that's not AS depressing, but I'm still pretty pissed at myself. Fucking prednisone. :ravn:

So, back on track this week. I had oatmeal for breakfast, I have a yogurt for a mid-morning snack. A sandwich on a whole wheat pita, and some carrot sticks with fat free ranch dressing. Dinner we are having navy bean soup. We have some errands to do after we eat, but once we get home, my ass is back on the bike and treadmill. :Phishfolk:

tonight was my first workout in almost 2 weeks, and I was there for almost 2 hours. 25 minutes on this weird machine whose name I don't know (it not a stairmaster), tons of ab and obliques, a lot of stretching, and I stayed away from the upper body stuff cause my right anterior deltoid/pec minor have been hurting from work.
I weigh 5lbs less than the last time I weighed myself! But then again I haven't had much of an appetite the last few days. I'm planning on losing 8-10 more by summer time, toning up enough to feel comfortable wearing a bikini. I get a lot of motivation reading this thread...thanks ladies :heartbounce:
people always give me crap for saying I want to lose weight cause they think I'm tiny...but I wasn't always and I still have not toned up since losing the bulk of what I lost. Thats all gonna change, and you ladies are my motivation :heartbounce:

Exercise really does make you feel amazing.
I can't stand the way I feel when I haven't in a while, not to mention the physical weakness I feel at those times . I just don't like it. Not just being, but feeling fit is amazing.
I've really gotten back into the swing again already. I just have to be careful I don't rip that metal out of my navel doing hardcore abs. 4-6 months?
So smart of me to find that out afterwards. They said it won't get in my way much, though. =)

I am obsessed with working out. I have to get minimum 2 hours of activity a day to feel GREAT.

I normally run or swim 1 hour and walk the dog about 90 minutes. I do travel quite a bit for work, so that is always tricky. But I have a YMCA membership so I visit other Y's and workout.

I just recently got a Personal Trainer and am hitting the weights. Part of what I want to manifest in 2009 is lose 5lbs (or a dress size... I recognize muscle weighs more than fat!), do a triathlon, feel great and look hot to trot.

where does she go?

we go to Life Time Fitness in Berkeley Heights. Its open 24 hours/7 days a week. AND theres no annual contract. Its a bit pricey, but for the low fee of one massage a month my mom is paying for my membership. Plus I stretch her out and give her mini massages all the time. Oh, life is good when you live w/ a massage therapist ;)
