So i just read that 4 shrimp cooked under moist heat have 22 calories? So I could eat, say, 40 shrimp and only have consumed 220 calories? I think I have found my new favorite snack food.

Not sure of actual caloric content but they're very healthy for you, as long as they're not fried! :)

Yeah, i'm thinking just regular shrimp cocktail, with a little sauce which is also low calories.
It's totally gotta be better than the bag of corn chips I just put down.

"While the shrimp diet did increase people's so-called bad cholesterol or LDL slightly, it also boosted their so-called good cholesterol or HDL enough to offset the increase in bad cholesterol."
interesting! (i love shrimp, as long as they're NOT fried.)

I don't typically count calories either...just trying to make a couple key diet changes.
Had it with a yummy salad today, and Iv been filled up all afternoon. I just have such a large appetite that I I need something I can eat in quantity that isn't packing calories too.

I'm begining to realize it's not about the calories. Not one bit. Neato. I love growing up and learning stuff. :funny1:

Sure it is! WW is based largely on calorie counts (and fat grams and fiber). If you watch the Biggest Loser that also focuses largely on calories. Less calories in and more calories out (exercise) is the only way to lose weight as far as I'm concerned.

It's how you are getting your calories. You really don't need to count calories if you are eating the right things and eating it the right way. That is key. And yes *obviously it is about how many you bring in vs how many you burn. Forget it, i'm not trying to debate here. I'm just seeing something for a new today. I'm runnin with it.

Yes but see...I'm eating the right things, but too much of the right things. My salads have been tasty and delicious...but I'm going overboard with dressing, and do I really need chick peas AND croutons? I'm silly. :funny1:
I have quite the appetite. I swear, I can eat Rich under the table (and the table itself), and he can eat quite a bit himself.
