So we are now home and everyone is doing great. Yea the whole time after every ultrasound they told us he was measuring in the 90th percentile for size. So we told everyone not to buy the newborn smallest sized clothes. We have some but most of his outfits are not going to fit him for awhile.

Can't yet tell if his hair will be red, it started out dark but has been getting lighter. I didn't have red until it started showing in my beard so who knows we will have to wait and see.

Thanks again everyone... We are all doing great... settling right into our new life! Drew is perfect...

SO here is my birth story... My labor actually went very well. My water broke early in the morning and they put me on pitosin since nothing was happening. I wanted a natural childbirth more than anything... I made it all the way to ten centimeters. Was pushing and things were progressing well. Jim saw Drews head and we thought we were in the clear... Then all of a sudden something wasn't right. I was in the worst pain. Constant too... No contractions. My lower back was killing like nothing I had felt before. Drew was face up (I forget the technical term) He was also coming out at an angle. They offered me an epi but said it would take an hour for it to really get me to a place to push again. Doctor said I could keep pushing but I was like something isn't right... Then he said we can do a c-section. Jim pretty much answered for me. We said yes. They rushed me into the OR in what seemed like seconds considering the pain I was in. They did a spinal which was instant relief... Few minutes later Since Drew was face up, Jim saw his face poking out of my stomach. Weird huh? Drews head was so huge and black and blued. My pushing was not getting him out just squishing his head! So I knew we made the right decision. SO theoretically I went through childbirth twice. Crazy stuff... Worth it in the end :)

I am feeling better every day. My stitches are out and I am not taking any more pain meds... Drew is eating and gaining weight and the bruising on his head is almost gone. We aren't sure yet if he is a redhead. Seems like his hair is pretty light and sometimes we see some red other times we don't. I don't really care either way... I am just glad he is here and I am loving not being pregnant anymore! :) I never really did take to it well :wink: at all :funny1:
