Pretty scary thought.

it's my understanding that Iran is finding it necessary to develop another fuel and source of power. due to current technological embargoes, they can't get the materials needed to develop their vast oil supply into a proper power source. though there's bound to be more to it. i don't want to see another country develop nuclear power or weapons ad infinitum but with the huge stockpile that the US currently sits upon, find it difficult to demand other countries not to do it. they're just too dangerous and deadly whether it's reactor waste or bombs. the 'gift' that keeps on giving for thousands of years. it's all clearly suicidal/genocidal and just insane to keep this stuff around.

I have the same opinion. The last thing I want to see is Iran with Nuke capability. I too don't understand how we can say well we have them but you can't. I was more scared that our government might have wheeled and dealed with the lives of US troops. If such a meeting did indeed take place where Iran said they would quit targeting US troops in exchange for no sanctions against their Nuclear Program, then our politicians completely sold out the US troops.

I dissagree. Iran signed the nonproliferation treaty and the more countries that have nukes the more dangerous the world is regardless of weather we have them or not. Not giving into Iran's demands is not wheeling and dealing with our troops it is standing our ground and not giving into intimidation in order to let Iran become an even bigger threat.

What should be taken very seriously is whether or not Iran did actually admit to having a part in the taking of U.S. soldiers lives.

I guess what I mean is the fact if the meeting did happen then they admitted to having an active role in the death of US troops. Us not doing anything about it is a sell out to the men/women who they killed.

Oh I see! I agree to a certain extent but the thing is we do know that they have a part in it and I believe we have been doing what we can but the next step really seems to be to invade Iran and that would be worse for our troops then trying to stop the flow of arms and fighters from coming over the border.

I agree that I don't think we could shoulder a full scale invasion right now.
