So I was originally going to go to IIN with a friend of mine but she can't afford it so she isn't going to go now. This is fine with me. I have no problem going by myself.
But ever since she found out that she can't afford to go she has been trying to get me to not go and sent me this via email.
I'm really not happy with her right now. :undecided:
I'm still going regardless of this article.

oh kris, please dont take that too much to heart. The program at IIN has all the big corporations on the defensive. We're the only school that actually teaches that the USDA food pyramid is a POLITICAL DOCUMENT, not something that is designed to keep you healthy!
I am up really early right now and I have to leave for class but I definitely will address this article and get an official response on the OEF!

Thank you darlin' I'm more upset with my "friend" than anything she was all about it, so excited to go. and now it's like every time we talk she has to say something bad about the school.
Hope you have a wonderful class today!!!!

Hey Kristin-
Sorry you had to get that from a friend.
Like Terra said with in the past year or so IIN has really entered main stream and is in the light for major criticism.
I did graduate from IIN and I do have a Certification with Columbia University's Teachers College and proud of it.
At what point, I never call myself a doctor and if a client needs a doctor I will be open and honest with them.
IIN also teaches you to stay away from clients that you cannot handle. Ones that do need medicine and regular doctors. We are not here to replace medicine we are simply contributing nutrition advice based on truths and not who paid who what.
There is an incredible demand for holistic health but the FDA and major governmental industries don't want to hear that. It is all about money. Beef pays big money, milk pays big money, pharmaceutical companies pay big money, health care pays big money...teaching people to take care of themselves with whole food, natural nutrition, is going to lessen the need for all of these things. Of course people will bash it!
Just be glad that you have an open mind and an ability to see the truth.
Once this works for you; there is no denying it.
And as a side note, I am not against regular medicine. There is a time and place for doctors, medicine, and surgery. So let that be clear.
However, like I mentioned before we all need a change. We should not be ingesting foods that are harmful to us and make us dependent on bigger corporations. The world fears IIN as we will take control of our own bodies and make the world a healthier, happier place!

I  you Britt! and I totally agree with you.
I told my friend today That if IIN isn't for her that's fine, but she needs to respect that It is for me.
When are you starting? Sounds like IIN has a lot of good info to share!

I think the next session starts next year.
Maybe next January.
But you are able to sign up early and begin a payment plan so it is easier to do.
