I used to belong to the Greater Boston Church of Spiritualism. I didn't go every Sunday, but I went at least once a month.

Since moving to NJ I havent been to church and I've realized that this is something really missing in my life. :undecided:

I did a quick google search for Spiritualist churches in NJ, but it only came up with a few in North Jersey - all well over an hour from me. I guess I could go once a month, but I would really like to have a Spiritualist community a bit closer to me.

Does anyone know of any Spiritualist churches in NJ that may not be popping up on google?

Any ideas?

Thanks :)

Is that similar to Unitarian?
That too is headquartered in Boston.

Umm not entirely. Im not sure. I havent been to many Unitarian services.
I will say that like unitarians, spiritualists are exceptionally liberal.

A service at a spiritualist church involves offering (in the form of something tangible ie a can of beans that is then donated to a local food shelf - NOT money for the church/pastor/parish whatever) prayer and then there is an energy healing session (reiki or something much like it) and there are often readings - as in mediumship. Services can be up to 2 hours, depending on healilng circles and readings.

I dont know that unitarians actually do all that.
