i am know that i don't want any more children. i love love love makayla with all my heart but i know i don't want anymore. she wanted a little brother or sister she got a little half brother and that works for me.:funny1: besides she is 11 now and almost out of the house so to speak so way start all over again. i got lots of babies around to keep me busy and the best part i can GIVE THEM BACK. :funny1: so i am tired of taking pills. right now i am on micro nor which is like depo prevera but in pill form and i still get a period every month. i am tired of doing this every day. i am with planned parent hood and they offer paragard which is a 99.4% effective and up to 10 years of protection and zero hormones. ron and i have already talked about children and we both agree we don't want any of our own. this is the only one they offer. cause its been around a long time and the new ones are just to expensive to be giving to all the plan parent hoods. just wondering if anyone here has it and can tell me if they like it. human response is way better than some pamphlet telling me how it works or feels.

if anyone wants more info on this (i think little frog was looking for something hormone free) the sight is www.paragard.com

i just read the rest of little frogs thread about this...but all pro and con comments are welcome. i was one of those girls that the depo worked wonders for me the only thing was the weight maintain. i didn't gain per say but didn't loose either. but then again i was not taking the right steps to loose weight back then now it's different.

the only thing i'd add is, if you get it and you begin reacting to it in any way TAKE IT OUT asap. no matter what they say! they are not being truthful about there being no known side effects, there are indeed very serious side effects that many women suffer from, and their doctors tell them it's not the IUD. lies
