i grew up in eating this
and it's easy easy :
ingredients are approximate, i just kinda put want i want, till it looks like i want it to:
bunch broccoli ( head cali or bag of spin - you can do 1/2 broc 1/2 cali)2-4 cloves garlic
1/4 c breadcrumb
2 -4 tsp oil
salt pepper to taste
boil h20
blanch the broccoli (cali works too) then drain.
in a frying pan heat 1-2 teaspoons olive oil with crushed garlic. better to use less oil at first you can add a little more oil later, if needed.
saute the broc and begin adding bread crumb right away (Mix your own or use an italian br crumb mix- mine is gluten free-meh) by sprinkling it over the broc/oil...stir
the breadcrumbs, garlic and oil will coat and flavor the broc like good italian ingredients should...and it is sooo good. you want a paste - the breadcrumb is wet form the oil but it's not -oily'...here's where you might add more oil (drizzle) or breadcrumb (pinches) to meet the need.if you want, add a little grated cheese ;). mmmmmm
you're cooking for about 5 min tops, on medium...
you can do this with spinach too...and you can add cannellini beans to the spinach....or keep out the breadcrumb and add pasta to the spinach/beans....:)
