so last night the husband and i were returning from our walk. it was just about dark and we turned onto our little street and i saw my big red cat sitting in the street in front of the neighbor's house! he *never* sits in the street. always stays in the yard or neighbor's yard, etc. i went over, picked him up and walked back to the house, holding him "baby style" (which he loves) admonishing him for being out in the street, telling him i was never letting him outside again, etc.

i walked into our back yard and lawrence saw me coming up and said, "um, summer, red and tiger are both right here!" i looked down at the red cat and, just looking at his paws, realized it wasn't red!!! i know there is another cat in our neighbor hood that is his twin and i was taking him home with me!

 we all got a huge kick out of it. the most interesting thing was that he felt just like red, same size, relaxed into my arms like a baby (my other cats don't like that position at all)

 :lmao:

Lately a little black cat has been following the boys home during the day. They shrug him off, but seeing we kive in the country we were wondering if he might be wild. Lately Amy has been trying to coax him in, seeing he was out on the deck yesterday. Thank goddess no twins of ours has appeared yet. Take care Sums! Talk at you soon!:jump:

the week after we moved in I was washing my car and thought I saw finch in the neighbor's bushes. turns out there's a kitty who looks very similar in our neighborhood. I was a bit freaked b/c we keep ours indoors only.

When we moved into our new house, Tuna was always creeping around the back door. One morning I looked out and saw him up by the stonewall at the edge of the yard! I almost shit my pants! I was screaming and yelling for Richard to come help me, and that's when I noticed Tuna sleeping on the couch.

He has a twin in the neighborhood, and his parent's let him outside. Tramp thinks it's Tuna sometimes, too, and barks like a ninny at him.

good one sums!! i think it was my pet sitter's first visit to my house when she saw an orange cat in the front yard and freaked. she went tearing through the house to see if she could still find 3, inside. she did, it wasn't my cat.

i also told makai that if he ever moved and couldn't keep carlos, i would gladly take him home :)

(i would take him home even if he wasn't orange, he's such a sweetheart!)

so last night i'm cleaning up the kitchen, getting ready to do the dishes. i have several cat bowls around the kitchen and i look down at a cat eating and say "oh hi red!" then we both move over to the sink and i realize that this is not red!! it's that same doppelganger cat! he just walked in the house and started eating!

Hmm, wonder if it's the cat food, or the energy in your house?

it's just kibble. but there is tons of great cat energy here :) he came back for breakfast the next day :funny1:

at times i'll look out the kitchen window onto the back deck and see a couple of my cats and some random cat hanging out with them
