i'm making a big effort to grow some veggies on my step. i have no yard, so i am using planters and am getting freerange to build me a garden box for bigger stuff.

started my seeds, they are just sprouting (i'm late with it as usual). in the past, i have been sporadic and half-assed in my efforts, but i really want to make it work this year.

anyone else gardening is tiny urban spaces? got any tips for a noob?

trying my second (ok third) shot at herbs on the window sill....seems like the back window doesn't get enough sun (they become little sprouts and grow a bit then stop) and the front window fries them (one weekend away and they were dust)....we have been moving them back and forth based on the sunlight that day but its kinda a PITA

Not gardening, but am looking into growing some plants. I have poor lighting in my apt and nothing more than 4 window ledges to work with...Im making something happen this season though...

so, good news! my landlord is not using the garden behind our house, so i get to use it! yesterday jj and i weeded and then spread some nice new top soil and sphagnum, and then planted some things i have had growing on the front porch. woot! hopefully they take... fingers crossed! :clapping:
