Do you use them?...if so, which do you prefer, salt or sugar? Do you prefer a fine texture or more corse texture? What are your favorite additives (scents, etc.) and how often to you use/buy them?

I love them both.
I think I prefer sugar in the winter and salt in the summer. The Salt scrubs tend to dry out my skin a bit more, which is great in the summer when Im a bit more oily, but I dont need to get any drier in the winter, so I opt for sugar! :)

I like the sugar scrubs. I use them 1-2X a week - esp in the winter. My skin is too dry for the salt scrubs.
Speaking of...I need to buy some more.

How much do you usually pay for them?...do you buy the same brand all the time or do you try different brands? How big of a jar do you usually get?
I have begun making my own salt/sugar scrubs and experimenting with different oils, fragrances, additives (all natural stuff - lavendar, seaweed, etc.) There is some really beautiful seaweed that washes up on the beach - spectacular colors... Also, lavendar and heather are in bloom everywhere at the beginning of the summer.
I may start to sell them at a few of the local artisan markets 'round here...

I've paid anywhere from $3.00 to $25. The jar is usually 16-24 ounces (a guess). I have brands I love that are too expensive so I buy all kinds.

And do you prefer a more coarse scrub ?...or more fine texture?
The ones that you buy are they oil based or thicker and more body butter based type?
