Can someone recommend a good site for me that shows studies on how milk is bad for you?

I was at a dinner party on Saturday and the topic of milk came up.
I bit my tongue and let people talk.
After we left the party, Stephen was all "OMG I can't believe you didn't say anything!!!" :funny1:
I am not anti-cow's milk. I just don't drink it. And I have seriously decreased my cheese intake. The only dairy I do eat is greek yogurt and occasionally goat cheese or feta. Sometimes I will put a small amount in coffee if soy/oat/almond/hemp isnt available, but I pretty much only drink coffee on Sunday's and Stephen is good about keeping milk alternatives in his fridge for me :clapping: If I were to drink milk, I would only drink raw milk (http://www.realmilk.com/moreraw.html).
"GOT MILK?" (If You Do, You've Also Got Greatly Increased Risks of Cancer, Osteoporosis, and Heart Disease...)
This site (http://www.notmilk.com/) has compiled a ton of articles...
I liked this one (http://nutritiondiva.quickanddirtytips.com/is-milk-bad.aspx) too from the Nutrition Diva.

I used to get really worried about Stephen drinking 3-4 8oz glasses of milk a day. it's just not good for you. Milk is designed to quickly fatten baby calves. Not to quench the thirst of adult humans. I just had to talk to him about infected udders and pussy milk to get him to stop. I know I am evil. But the funny thing is, when he stopped drinking so much milk, his indigestion went away and his chronic (undiagnosed by his DR) ear aches went away.

that's interesting about his indigestion! my boy drinks soooooo much milk and complains about indigestion every so often. He probably drinks at least 32oz of milk a day. It makes me nauseous! I hope this articles help open his eyes a bit too! Thanks Terra!

I can tell you that I have had sinus problems up the ass for the past few years. Everybody told me to stop drinking milk, and I wouldn't listen. About 3 weeks ago I stopped having my big daily glass of milk at dinner, and now all my sinus problems have gone away!!! :ura1:
I still have cheese, yogurt, half & half & icecream, and I'm ok. But cutting out that big glass of it did help.

don't forget to add filtered water into that mix ;)
hemp is the shit.. high in omega 3, 6 & 9s
and is the #1 source of edestine, the most absorbable protein~
its so damn good for you that of course our gov't had to make it illegal to grow here :pimp:

Ok...another development. I don't think it's milk anymore. I think it was the use of Splenda. :ravn: I had milk the other night, and I was fine. I had splenda in my coffee when we were at the Cape, and I felt like shit. :ravn:

wouldnt it be smarter to look for a site with facts on milk so you can draw your own conclusions as opposed to searching out sites that agree with you?

I really do not think that Milk is bad for you...nothing is a perfect food and you can find anything negative about any thing.
For example...Men BEWARE!!!
Soy milk contains plant estrogen (a female hormone).
Men...Drinking Soy Milk will give you the dreaded man boobs and a lower sperm count.
Women...what you hear about the dreaded milk goes for Soy as well.
studies show drinking/eating soy increases incidents of ovarian and breast cancer.
and it all has to do with the basic compound of the soy itself...no addititives needed.
If you want a glass of Milk...have a glass of milk. You want a glass of Soy Milk...have it.
it's all about moderation. :coffee:

Watch the movie "Go Further" with Woddy Harrelson is has a big thing about milk that makes me think twice before having a glass...and Bob Weir is in the first few minutes of the movie...it's on Netflix streaming. FYI it is not or dosen't have anything to do about the band Further...

I only drink raw milk from healthy, happy, grass-fed cows. Conventional, pausterized milk is swill, and the way industrial dairy industry treats their animals is disgusting.
Raw milk is considered a living food, filled with enzymes, vitamins, healthy fats (in the right proportions) and all of the amino acids humans need. It also has anti-microbial elements.
Pastuerizating kills the enzymes, vitamins and homogenization damages the fat and protein.
Check out www.realmilk.com (or org. ) for more info.
Evolutionarily speaking, our bodies are clearly not designed to drink milk from other animals, but many traditional cultures thrived on dairy-based diets, and I feel that milk and dairy in its raw form can be a good part of a healthy whole foods diet.
