fact is you are right on all accounts ,especially the third. He has the weakest arm i have ever seen in mlb.

and he not once ,and it is fact ,ever put up the numbers he put up in boston.

His production with the Spankees was pretty close to that of the Sox.

4 year averages with the Sox:

294 AVG, 74 RBI, 14 HR, 25 SB

With the Spankees

285 AVG, 74 RBI, 19 HR, 23 SB

pretty darn close.

i cannot say i didn't like him as a player but it has truely always felt weird seeing him in pinstripes for sure. I will always remember him as red sock more than a yankee.

most sox fans probably feel the opposite. It's not like he was Wade Boggs and played in Boston for years and years. Even Boggs wasn't warmly welcomed back to Fenway at first.

Good point. The issue I have is that he ran his mouth about New York in his book and said "I would never play for the yankees." He should have just kept his mouth shut. He's not that bright I'm sure he had alot of help with that book. Have you ever seen his press confrences? "Um we scored more runs and um we um had good pitching."

I'm a Yankee fan and I liked him. At any game we went to, everybody was pretty accepting of him and chanting "Johnny Damon!". :dance:

i used to like him alot even with his girly arm till he went to georgi's team:rolleyes:

but still think he's a good solid player and still like him just wish he didn't go to the dark side:sad:
i guess hes going to detroit or chicago from what MLB channel saying maybe the twins:dunno: we will se soon enugh.
