husky/wolf extra large puppy keeps coming to our farm. "Chase" lives a couple miles from here but has taken a liking to our pack of dogs - all males, who will and have tried to kill him. we've taken him home numerous times. i've gated him on the front porch and his people have come to get him a few times. we've told them we'd take him to the pound, they asked if we wanted him, which i do but my dogs don't at all! (he's really a sweet and incredibly smart dog) this morning my dogs are in, i'm asleep and they are BARKING, i turn the corner in the house and he is standing at my great room window, all 6 feet of scary looking wolf!! i swear one of the dogs is gonna break the window. by the time i got dressed he's no where to be found. no answer at his home. i just feel terrorized by this dog, i can't go about my day without fearing the dog will appear out of the woods and i can't even let my dogs or cats out. we have chickens and turkeys free ranging and i fear he'll have someone for his lunch! our property is completely fenced, i think he jumps the fence like a deer! i just really hate irresponsible pet owners!

:gah: so, do you think it's the right thing to take him to the pound? he'll be back, of this i'm sure!

this has happened so many times, my husband actually took him for a ride one sunday 20 miles from here and tied him up at an animal shelter (they were closed and no one around), he was back here the next day:plain:

if you warned the owners that you would take him to the pound and they still choose to let him roam free, then i don't see the problem in taking him in. maybe they will get that message

i think you need to file some sort of official report with animal control/the police/town board - something. you have every right to protect you and yours and you'll want to officially make a stance that that's what's at stake here.

 thanks for the inputs kind ladies...turns out we talked to the owner last night, he gave the dog to a friend yesterday afternoon, about 6 miles from here who has 3 other big dogs. He just told us that his old dog of 16 years passed away and that's why Chase was roaming. I hope he found his home this time! I get a feeling he'll be bringing his new buddies here for a visit tho.
