while learning about gluten free, i made some mistakes with food lists and thought i couldn't eat any whey....i could have because it's diary:) DUH
i guess i was receiving too much information and placed it on the wrong list in my head.

i also developed a folate deficiency probably both related to the elimination of gluten (breads) from my diet and the dermatomyositis affects my gi tract causing a lot of mouth pain and trouble eating ...hopefully that's gonna continue to improve.

my doc gave me a script for 1mg folate daily- i think because i'm taking methyltrexate...

i've been making soups with spinach and all the 'different mushroom' ...pureed...

any other reccomendations to get more folate ?

after my mom was given folate from her doc, she developed a B12 deficiency.

i remember her eating a lot of liver :puke: but that may have been for the iron.

i think most breakfast cereals are fortified with folate. (but most have gluten)

i just asked my mom, and she reminded me that this was when we started eating Vegemite (http://www.vegemite.com.au/vegemite/page?siteid=vegemite-prd&locale=auen1&PagecRef=757) in our house.
