If you get yourself a boardie camping pass I don't think you have anything to worry about. It was very kid friendly from what I saw. Plus you are close to the park and bay.
I camped in front of you the last ILCC. I think you guys would do fine

I've stopped going because of the sketch - my kids are 2 & almost 4. My last was 2 years ago in Bridgeport - it was horrible.
If you go, stay in boardie camping

I bring my son every year and stay in family camping. There is still some sketch but a much nicer environment in family.

If I brought Gabe, it would definitely only be if I were camping in boardieland.

Soulshiny was in boardieland and they seemed pretty happy with their son. I was in family camping and it was fine.

Camp near Twilight Dancer. She has band-aids.

yes, wabbit we did have great neighbors:wink:
there's always going to be a bit of sketch. I would say boardie camping is the way to go. that's where we were with Evan last year and we/he had a great time. if you want more shade then I would try family camping.

Sadly it was far more than a bit
from the feedback i got, sketch in family was way down last year from what it was in '07.
(i'm the family/boardie camping pre-fest coordinator so i get e-mailed comments after...)

I was in family last year and I actually witnessed security arresting some nitrous dealers. I witnessed no sketch in my area.

Vibes is a large fest. You have to consider that there are 10,000 other people besides you and your family..doing their thing..and that may very well NOT go well with you and your family doing your thing. Boardie camping is great..you are surrounded by people who will look out for you and you little one..BUT..are you gonna stay there ALL weekend?? You will leave that area to see music..with those thousands of people doin their thing. I dont bring my little one to Vibes purely because I know that I am going to be mixed in with all types/levels of merriment and while that is fine by me..the concern and stress of what others doing thier thing around me with K in tow is not my cup of tea..I certainly have no right to control any ones show by getting upset at behaviors cause I chose to bring my child..so I just dont.
It really depends on what you want outta the weekend...

We brough Jude on a leash when he was almost two! (I'm serious!). He's just such an active little guy that I needed to control him a couple of times by putting the leash on him (interestingly, I think he liked it because the noise and crowds were a little overwhelming for him at times).
Yetty, I know you're a great mountain man camper but maybe you should consider getting a hotel room for at least part of the weekend. It was a lifesaver for us (again, because of Jude's tireless personality) to be able to go to a quiet, secure air-conditioned place after a full day/night of nonstop stimulation. We'll probably get a room again this year.

Well, I have to say I wouldn't have enjoyed the current venue with Julia when she was two. I really don't want her there now that's she's 8.
It's just too big, too much going on,and like KArsen said, unless you stay in boardie camping, it's just too much all around, imo.
I prefer smaller fests with little ones, it's just easier, more surrounded by friends everywhere, and less worry about nonsense.
I never liked to get in anyone's way(and I'm sure folks can attest to this) I used to just ask for a heads up if any grown-up stuff was about to take place, and i would move her.
I just feel that that would be harder in a bigger place. And at two, really hard to manuver back and forth from the field to boardie (if you're lucky to get a spot) camping.
Just my opinion.
