What do your kids like?

This is my favorite kids' album of songs on the civil rights movement, but I remember having a Disney record I really liked, too. I listened to lots of Simon and Garfunkel, Beach Boys, early Beatles, early Stones and the Hair soundtrack, with my mom. Lots of religion-themed kids' tunes and liturgical music, with my dad.

My boy (almost 3) likes Bob Marley, grateful Dead and Ray Lamontagne. Certain songs from each artist anyway. 3 little birds, ripple, box of rain, let it be me are among his current faves. Of course he also likes good ol' nursery rhymes. We just finished building him a 'rock n roll' stage in his playroom, complete w/ drum set, guitars, microphone, djembe, bongos, maracas etc. he is having a rock n roll bday party next month lol. If I was more computer savvy, I would post a pic :)

Sarah, I remember you from many moons ago...my 'former' terrapin name was shakeitshugaree aka melissa. and I met you at a couple of shows. I have been MIA since my little rock n roll star was born. but I am planning on getting back into some of the 'adult' things that I did before mommyhood. GOTV is a good place to start. and its nice to be back, thanks :)
