Something is going on w/ my insides and I was explaining it to a co worker and she said cyst....
Anything in the "female" area (for lack of a better adult word lol) worries me, the ladies in my family don't have great luck when it comes to this kinda stuff. My grandmother had a hysterectomy real young and then my mom w/ all her cancer issues, also had a fibroid in her uterus.
I'm also worried bc I dont have an OBGYN here, nor a primary. So no one really knows my history...guess its time to go a lookin.
Its just that lately it feels like I'm fucking a light saber when I have sex. :undecided: not the whole time, but the first minute is enough to almost put me into tears.
Any ladies in the central Jersey area w/ a good OBGYN pls pass along the info??

I have an AMAZING one but...... up here in northern NJ (hackensack to be exact) one of my friends is a labor and delivery nurse and said this guy is THE guy to go to.... he helped me through some issues I had (irregular paps...then a colpolscopy) he is super nice and so friendly and gives lots of free samples of BC!

where does it hurt?
I never had an ovarian cyst but apparently they hurt more when you ovulate.
I had the same problem and it turned out to be endometriosis.
you definitely want to get checked out...it could be nothing other than low estrogen or something but pain is not right!
PM me if you want.

Coming from personal experience...
1. Find a gyno in your area to have an exam done. Most of us have cyclical cysts (meaning that they can painlessly grow & pop with each cycle due to estrogen levels) but when they grow and grow on their own, and exert pressure on other parts--that is where the pain comes in. Also too if you ovulate from the ovary that the cyst is on--biiiiig ouchies. I knew I had a problem when the pain occurred every 2 weeks or so--during my period and ovulation.
2. The gyno can order an ultrasound and MRI to determine where the cyst is (my dr was able to tell there was something there during her exam alone, just by feeling around). Ultrasound is sorta uncomfy but thats just bc of all the water you need to drink beforehand...MRI is painless, just 20 mins of lying verrrrry still.
Then based on those results (if its even something that needs to go that far) you make a decision. Some womens birth control regulates cyst growth, sometimes surgery is a necessary option, but it all depends on YOU and whats going on in your body. Please PM if you have more questions ok Tatum? All my dr's are in north NJ but they were amazing, but I'm sure you'd be able to find someone good down by you too :)

i dont know much, but i did just have surgery a few months ago to remove a grapefruit sized cyst and my right ovary. luckily it was benign.....i always had bad cramps and shit and unfortunately that did NOT change after the surgery like we hoped/assumed. i even had some endometriosis removed in a follow up surgery (luckily this one was orthroscopic, which means pin holes and lasers, so much easier than a full 10 inch c-section-like incision couldnt move for 2 months surgery i had at first).....fuckin god forbid the first doctor found the endo when she took my whole fucking uterus out "to check it" and shit (/vent haha)
ANYWAY there are two types of ovarian cysts that i know about. the type that i had removed (that could be benign or cancerous) that form and do not go away on their own, and then there are cysts that form every month and go away, usually when you are menstuating (possibly other times of the month as well) they are normal and usually docs like to monitor them if they see them by checking in a month or two to see if they are still there. these types will not be there since they go away, i believe they burst actually which is why people, excuse me, WOMEN experience pain. this is probably what people are talking about when they tell you that (it obviously could be either) but a lot of women do get the monthly cysts so dont get too alarmed when you hear the word....
DEF GO TO THE DOCTOR and dont let them brush you off. i had a normal pap but convinced them to give me an ultrasound where they found the huge cyst encompassing my (dead) ovary......if it was cancer i would have been extra lucky for advocating for myself the way i did, cuz they wanted to send me home
