So yeah, I'm buying one  I want to feel like a princess. I'm not getting one of those huge ones, just something small and sparkely :)
Here's what I found on eBay - it's only $16!!!

I love tiaras. Any excuse to wear one is good, and being a bride is the BEST excuse!
Stephen keeps telling me I will *NOT* be wearing one.
*ahem*
We'll see. I'll find something subtle with bling. :funny1:

Trav wants me to wear whatever I want. He wants me to be as happy as I can be on that day :) He also insists that I wear a veil too :) Not one with a blusher but he wants me to wear one in the back :)
So I get the bling ring I want, I ordered the tiara this morning, I'm getting a fake pearl bracelet, using my mom's pearl necklace and dying my crinoline :)

I dont think she has to, I think she wants to. She's dying it a color- blue or purple as I recal.
Is it your something blue, Tiff??

does she have a white gown? Sorry, I'm a bit confused.
Oh hey, where did you get your crinoline?
Sunny Sunshine

I'm dying it a light purple because I want a splash of color underneath my dress :)
My something blue is my Red Sox garter
I bought my crinoline at David's Bridal. I think it was $50

Ah, thats different. So, will the base of your dress look violet'y? I've never heard of that, thats so cool.

so neat. Have you picked out your flowers already? How the hell do you know what you want? I look at all of them and I want all of them.
We go tomorrow to meet with the florist, the minister and then the photographer on Sunday. Busy weekend. :)
I really like the dyed crinoline idea. I might have to borrow it. I wonder if it'll be too much since I'll have a lilac sash down the back?!?!

I think if you went with the lilac dyed crinoline it would look great!!!
as for flowers, you should look and see what is in season locally- not only is that better for the environment, but its MUCH better for your budget and pockebook!! flying pretty cala lillies in from guatamala isnt cheap!
When I get to the point of thinking about flowers....I think im going to get each of my BMs something different but in the same color palette with one comon flower....possibly taking their birth flowers and going with that color ie: maybe one is tulips, maybe one daisies, maybe one mums...who knows. I thought it was a nice unique idea though. :)

I love daisies. lots of different kinds of daisies. and a huge sunflower. Ok, that would look horrible but you get the drift as to what I like?!?
I want a hand tied bouquet that looks messy. With lots of greens sticking up everywhere. Maybe some lilacs and greens and a couple of daisy's.
Just talking out loud. SOrry!

I don't think having the sash and the dyed crine would be too much at all! Go for it!!! :)
Flowers - Fortunately I've got an uncle who just so happens to be a florist  He's doing our flowers at his cost. The only flowers I'm 100% positive I want are tulips. Lilac and white. The first flowers Travis gave me (way back in 10th grade!!) were lilac colored tulips :) So I'll have those, the girls will have white. :) Anything else, I have no clue. We might just do tulips :)

Terra, I love Gerberas too, but this year, they are so "in" that people are getting sick of them (kind of like you and the STD magnets  )
I might mix some white lilacs in with my lilac tulips and some purple lilacs in with the white tulips :)

when my friend and his wife got married she had a simple orchid bouqet with some delicate ferns and babys breath. It was breathtakingly gorgeous.

lol I hear ya on the gerberas!
they're relatively inexpensive and really pretty, that's probably why.
Lilacs smell so so so amazing. And you're in the beginning of june, right? They shoudl still be in season, so you wont have trouble ($$) getting them!
Orchids are very pretty, but also very expensive :crook:

No orchids for us, but we're saving massive moula by using my uncle as our florist :) He's only going to charge us his cost on the flowers! I predict about $300 max if I go with tulips and lilacs :)

Will you be putting flowers on your tables or alters or cake?
I'm trying to figure out who and what and where. I go at 11am to meet with her. I'm sort of nervous because I have no idea what I want. I'm not good with MANY choices. Nope, not at all.
Sunny Sunshine
01-16-2009, 06:40 PM
I'm not sure about the alter, maybe? Tables, maybe a short stem arrangement of tulips? Cake table we'll have some flowers too. But fake sugar flowers on the actual cake

Sunny Sunshine

You can! I'm thinking about sending it down to Brianne to do it for me though. She's already said she would...
Here's the colored slip bio on the knot. It's got directions on how to do it :)
