What to engrave on the wedding rings?

So far I got: "Brett to Arielle 5-17-09" for mine and "Arielle to Brett 5-17-09" for his. But that seems kinda lame.

ha, ok I had another idea:

Me and Brett always sing this line from that captain and tennille song that goes "Love! Love will keep us together". Anyways, we always sing it at each other randomly and sometimes also with random words instead of "love". Like "Hugs will keep us together!" whenever we hug and "Gloves will keep us together!" when we are putting on gloves.

So maybe I can just engrave "love will keep us together" on the rings. But then I worry that 10 years from now I'm going to be like "omg I have a captain and tennille lyric on my ring, what the hell is wrong with me" :lol: I don't even like the song, I have no idea how we started randomly singing that at each other. :)

then again we only have 32 characters, so if we put that on we wouldn't be able to put the date on. :( Unless we just put the month and the year...hmmm

we decided together what to engrave. I'm kind of a control freak...er, I mean picky about my jewelry, which is why we picked out all of the rings together too. :D

at first I was hesitant to put moe. lyrics on there, but we did meet through seeing moe. , and they're such a big part of our lives that I didn't feel silly doing it. the rings are never coming off, so it's not as if anyone is going to see it.

I really like the "love will keep us together" arielle.

It's a lyric from a nirvana song (we have a mutual love of nirvana) AND we're getting married outside, so it makes sense too. :)

Not sure if I would use the comma or not, and gotta see if brett likes it too..

if he's not into "in the sun," perhaps a play on the c&t line could be made to include the date in the form of: "we'll keep us together, (date)" or perhaps just "will keep us together (date)," since you put different words at the beginning sometimes anyway.

I wear my Nanny's engagement ring - it's from the 1920s. the inscription in it says "Bud & Toots" My nanny was Toots. :) This ring has also been sized about 3 times.
