just read the time travelers wife....
and well, the story was good, the writing - not so much. the story would have been MUCH better had the writer been able to execute a clearer explanation of her story, as well as be able to break the time changes easier for the reader.
the characters, at least the girl (already can't remember her name) Clare? maybe? was poorly developed and very uninteresting, but Henry, i remember. And it wasn't just his condition that makes him memorable... it's his backstory, his situation with his ex, his approach to life....
it's also hard for me to read novels with modern slang "awesome" "fuck" etc.... not that both weren't in other novels but it is strong and almost... icky in new novels. takes the 'literature' out of well, the literature....
but overall.... it was good. i read it on one flight. so it must have had me at hello.
out of a 5 book scale... i give it 3.
