for these new boards. I missed you ladies, but just could not stand the old boards.
Update on Kaelyn: She just turned 7 months, has three teeth with two more poking through, just got the hang of baby food although i think it's making her gassy, she's starting to understand how to sit, but she hates tummy time and doesn't like to roll over much.
I think I freak out too much about milestones though, developmental and "mental." :D
Anyway, I'll check in more later.
Love you guys!

Hi Sharyn,
Thanks for the update!! I can't wait to see pictures!! Tummy time seems to be an universal torture method we all inflict upon our infants..
Don Nucka..there are actually quite a few dad's that post here regularly. A lot of us women went through pregnancy and early infant stages together, so we've kind of bonded over news regarding our kiddos..

We have heynow and UC and a few others that are regulars so yeah, the guys are here too but definitely underrepresented.
Sharyn, I think it's normal to check every little thing but I'm sure she's great. I hope you are relaxed and enjoying more than worrying. :)
Emily hated being on her belly too.
just remember that "they" call it "average" for a reason. there have to be a lot of kids above and below the "middle" for "them" to come up with that ;)
the most important thing to remember is that your child is perfect just the way she is
i ran into an old friend in the grocery store last week. i worked with her husband when i was at the farm and it had been over 2 years since i'd seen either of them. at the time, they had a one year old son. now he is over 3 and just learning to form his 1st words. he has some strange neurological disorder that only affects his speech. when she told me what her husband's reaction was upon finding out about their son, i couldn't help but smile. she was freaking out and he said, "oh, talking is over-rated anyway" and has never treated his son the least bit different since. (of course, they do have him in a special speech therapy but i just thought it was so cool the way he took the news.)

Oh wow! Paperdoll!! Congratulations on being a mommy!!! I haven't been around for awhile, but can't believe your little girl is 7 months.
Don't freak out about milestones (if you can help it). Della didn't have one tooth in her mouth until she was 12 months and didn't walk until she was almost 15 months. She is smart and funny, but some things just came slower than others!

My dentist said the later they get their baby teeth, the healthier their teeth will be (Aidan had NO teeth until 14 months,,Karys got 1 tooth at 7 months and no more until after she was 1)

Yay Benji! Now get both your walking rear ends out to visit!!
Sharyn! Hi! I know it's easy for me to say this now but try not to get to freaked out about milestones. Jude was all of the map with his milestones. He walked at 9 months but he's over 3 a I can l barely understand a word he says (it's like hanging out with an adorable drunk guy all day!). Also, he HATED and I mean HATED tummy time. He would cry and look at me like I was evil Mommy bitch. Jude also took a long time to roll over (I think it had to do with his "jolly" figure:lol: ).
