 thanks, Kel. glad you liked it! i will respond here, too, in case the Facebook post doesn't reach everyone interested :)

it's actually super-easy, and can be doubled or tripled as needed for parties (i would double it for a party or possibly triple it for boardie picnic):

one bag broccoli "slaw" from packaged lettuce area of grocery
one diced apple, seeded with skin on (i like fuji, use what you like)
handful slivered almonds
handful raisins - i use yellow, use whatever
handful shelled, roasted or raw sunflower seeds (not salted)
Marzetti poppyseed dressing to taste (i like it on the dry side, so add one nice spoonful, mix it well and then adjust) -or equivalent sweet-ish poppyseed dressing...or make your own. this one sounds similar:

toss everything together, let it sit for a couple of hours if you can, and serve. voila!

darn it! a coworker is making broccoli slaw for our annual bbq because i was at Rothbury when the dish sign-ups happened. i KNOW it won't be as good as mine, i just know it  :bang:

now to figure out what i WILL make...

:gah:

has anyone tried making it at home since this was posted? :)

 mine is totally better

she made hers with raisins and craisins, no apples or almonds or sunflower seeds...i DO think i'll add some craisins to mine for Vibes boardie picnic, because that was yummy.

but yeah. everyone was like, next year if you go on vacation before the picnic, tell Jaz you're making the broccoli slaw before you go
