Back in my senior year of high school ('71-'72) there was this local band (The Brass Buttons) who I had known the members of for 4 years or so, and even though they understood there was a limit on what our school would stand for (they were shut down and thrown out of a dance once:lol: ) this was the annual "Battle of the Bands" and there was the honor that you'd kicked three other band's asses and cash at stake, so they had decided to behave.

Of course that wasn't good enough for me, so I convinced them to play something Weird but not dangerous.

They came on with recognizable stuff, like a stones tune, maybe airplane, some grape then Mike (the drummer and one I actually knew well) comes out with "OK While all you "minnies" are out there wallerin' in yer sweat, we got a little tune for ya!" they broke into Kandy Korn! The chaperones had no clue what the hell was going on.:lol:
