How do I invite EVERY single one of you to our Spring Fling that happens to be our wedding night.... I'm not sure this is something I want to just post, ya know?
Facebook? What if I miss anyone? We have our entire wedding based around the band and the party that I want to make sure everyone that I know, knows they are to be there with me and Toddy.
IT's a very important evening.
How the hell do I do this?
Suggestions?

hmmm.. post an open invite, without contact information.. Then ask people to pm you and you can direct them to an evite that you create with the pertinent details..
sounds like a few steps, but might work..

I agree with Wabbit - Evite.com would be perfect. The only thing you need is everyone's email address. You save on postage, invites and it's a little more personal than posting a facebook bulletin or something. :)

yes, sounds like a good idea. A LOT of work, but definately something I will need to do.
We have the text all set. We just didn't know how to go about it.
AND, it's definately not *just* a free u-melt show, it's our wedding reception. So, it's definately invite only.
Thanks ladies.

minus any wedding gifts. I want nothing from my friends but for them to be there.
And I am going strict on that rule. :)

This is a semi private forum so I don't feel like I did anything wrong posting our private details.
or, should I?

Well, it's not a *locked* forum. You never know who or what is lurking out there!
I wouldnt post any specifics!

many moons ago I was a ski bum living in a rather small house in Stowe, VT. We were having a St. Patty's party and had a fair crowd of probably 50 people expected. Two of my roomates worked at a restaurant and decided to post a sign in the bar inviting their co-workers...totally cool until one of their co-workers made photo copies and posted the signs in the bathrooms of every bar in town
In excess of 500 people showed up
one might have said that the kitchen my roommates worked in was semi - private ;)
Oh and pm me for my email address

well this thread is coming down. I will figure out a way to do this.
The party is private. And we have many that will be keeping it that way. Just have to figure out how to get the invites out with not too much trouble.
I'd rather not hunt people down for email addresses. That could be quite time consuming.
I guess if you're not on facebook....
