I am looking for a small crafty idea to make for the teachers in Gabe's old daycare room. He just moved up to the 2 year old room, thus leaving the 4 teachers that he has been with 5 days a week for the past year. I was thinking of making something for the room(s) (there are technically 2 sections with 2 teachers assigned to each, but he spent time with all of them as they consolidate mornings and night)
They do have a "cozy" corner with big pillows. The pillows don't have covers or anything, sort of vanilla, but I don't know the size of the pillows.. I was thinking of making new ones, maybe getting an allergent cover and then a zip or tie on cover-- Then I was thinking of making each side a small activity mat with zippers, buttons, velcro, etc. Maybe weighting it down with dowels or even sand in the casings for the borders??
Advice?? what do you think? I wanted to do something with Gabe's handprints, but honestly, I don't feel like dealing with messy paints this weekend!!
