Where did you guys go for your honeymoon?
At the time (last year) my husband couldn't get a lot of time off of work so we did a very short honeymoon to Napa and San Fran.
It was nice, but not the tropical destination, sex on the beach honeymoon I had hoped for.
We need another one. Where did you go or where are you planning on going?

Very cool! Did you like it? That's on the husband's list. We both like to scuba dive.
I really want to go to Puerto Rico. He's okay with it, but he wants to go to St. Thomas or HI instead.

We live in VT and went to Napa and San Fran for our honeymoon, as well as Big Sur. We saw Phish at the Shoreline and had an absolute blast!

That would be fun.
I guess Williamsburg is pretty bla huh? We have three kids and not enough money for anything too spectacular. My man is not a *tropical* man. I live in the mountains....
I would love to go to a Phish show in California though. Man, that would be a dream!

I still want to do 2 weeks in Hawaii...or do a 1 week cruise, then stay in like St. Maarten or Aruba for a few days after the cruise, and then come home and have a few days to unwind before returning to work.

wende, i think williamsburg is the perfect destination for you two! you're both big history buffs and it's such a neat place to visit... plus, a week w/o the kids is honeymoon enough! :)
re: st. thomas... completely gorgeous island, perfectly clear water and beautiful beaches... but not a whole heck of a lot to do, except hang out on the beach and swim w/ the fishes. but sometimes that's enough in and of itself!

We've been there 3 times, so that's pretty much all we do at this point. Sky Ride, done it. Megan's Bay, done it. Walk around shops, done it. Snorkeling at Coki Beach, done it. Next time we are on a cruise and it goes there, I want to either go back to Megan's Bay (because it was GORGEOUS!) or take a boat to St. John. :V:

Williamsburg will be AWESOME plus it's something you both want to do. I drove through there briefly when I was in Hampton and really wish I had time to check more of it out. I literally drove through the little town and by all the cool old buildings, then went and got a hotel room. :)
Phish in CA on our honeymoon just happened to work out- we had already planned the trip before tour was announced, and we just made it work. We also won tickets for a backstage after party but it wasn't much- just another place to buy beer. We ran into Grate Kate at Muir Woods the day of the show too... how random!!

we are going to europe for 2 weeks- 4 days in rome and then will take a cruise that goes to croatia, greece for 4 days, turkey and sicily. Although even though it's a month or two after our wedding I don't know if it counts as a 'honeymoon' since his parents and grandmother are coming (but we have seperate rooms at least- they are paying for everything, there is no way we would be able to afford this trip on our own).
Back before his parents awesomely gave us this cruise because they are farking awesome, we were thinking of going to a bed and breakfast on chincoteague island which is near the border of maryland and virginia.

I don't know if we'll go back there, but it will always have a special place in my heart :heartbounce: We took the Sky Ride and that's when he proposed. The uppermost platform :sigh:  :bliss:
We're not doing a really honeymoon. We're renting a cabin in northern NH for a week. We'll do a nice vacation in a year or two (all depends on the whole getting pregnant thing :funny1: )

we didn't do a honeymoon either...we decided to have the wedding last year instead of this year so we just didn't have the money or the time to plan anything. We were back at work on the Monday.
We were hoping to go to Scotland this fall but it's not looking likely due to work schedules. We'll see though.

We went to Hawaii for 2 weeks with a stopover in Vegas on our way there. Spent 1 week on the Big Island and the other on Maui. Both were gorgeous, but we had a preference for the place we stayed on the Big Island (Kona Village Resort--absolutely breathtaking). Much more down to earth & rustic. Individual huts instead of a big hotel. I want to go back so bad!!
And I just found out my sis & her fiancee are going to Kona for their honeymoon!

Really?? Weird--my sister just booked their honeymoon a few weeks ago and they're going in June. She may have booked through a travel agent though. More often than not, that helps get you what you want. We were able to score free nights at both resorts we went to because of our agent. Sometimes they can hook you up with some fabulous deals.

I would one day like a tropical vacation. I dont't think i've ever been on one. I've been to the Bahamas and that was f un, but it was me and my mom and I was like 17. Last person I wanted to be there with, was my mom.

Ohhhhh, it is! :clapping:
Its all-inclusive. You never have to leave the resort (and you won't want to!) The biggest decision we had to make each day was to lay in the sun by the beach or by the pool. It was heaven.
