An international humanitarian organization committed to saving malnourished families while ensuring access to safe water and long-term solutions to hunger. Its international network of 6,000+ employees works in over 40 countries to restore dignity, self-sufficiency, and independence to some 5 million people around the world. |

Bridgeport Community Land Trust
Created to preserve open space in Bridgeport for land conservation, environmental protection and community gardening to benefit city residents especially children. BCLT acquires property in the city and cleans it up, landscapes it and sets it aside for Bridgeport residents to enjoy open space and in many instances to provide waterfront access.

Bridgeport Economic Resource Center(BERC)
Bringing quality development to the greater Bridgeport, Connecticut area is the task of this quasi-governmental non-profit organization, which provides assistance to companies deciding to relocate here. BERC is privately funded, and created by a partnership of Greater Bridgeport businesses, utilities, institutions, city and state government. |

Cell Motion BioBus
A high-tech science lab on wheels, the Biobus offers students from the south Bronx, Harlem,
and communities throughout the country a chance at hands-on exploration of the microscopic world. Dr. Ben and his team of scientists will be on-hand at Vibes for you and your kid’s opportunity to say hello to the tiny monsters who live in the ocean waters. An educational non-profit founded in 2008, the BioBus is powered entirely by wind, sun, and biofuel!

Common Sense Revival
A Modern Chautauqua Movement • Chautauqua = *Party With a Purpose* “The Revival” coordinates with local activists, musicians and artists to provide: Dancing, teach-in’s, pamphlets, progressive films, citizen empowerment training, voter registration, educational stuff for the kids, street theater, demonstrations of alternative technologies and whole foods. |

Community Energy, Inc. (CEI)
A marketer and developer of wind energy, Community Energy is a wholly owned subsidiary of IBERDROLA – one of the world’s largest owners of renewable energy facilities. CEI developed and jointly owns the Jersey-Atlantic Wind Farm, the Bear Creek Wind Farm, and has other wind projects in development. CEI will provide specific information about ways to kick fossil fuel. |

CT Folk promotes local and international artists and supports both the development of new music and the preservation of living traditions. CT Folk organizes the annual Connecticut Folk Festival and Green Expo as well as the First Fridays concert series in New Haven from October to May. |

HeadCount
A non-partisan, not-for-profit organization devoted to voter registration and turnout. Headcount is aligned with the top performers in improvisational music, including The Dead, Phish and Dave Matthews Band, and it registers voters at their concerts. HeadCount has registered 50,000 voters nationwide, more than any all-volunteer group in the country.

Rex Foundation
Established in 1983 by members of the Grateful Dead and their friends, the Rex Foundation has granted $8.4 million to over 1,000 non-profit. Its target programs are likely to fall under the radar of larger fundraising organizations, but they do essential work to support a healthy environment, the arts, indigenous cultures, education, justice, and strong communities. |

Rock the Earth
A national public interest environmental organization dedicated to protecting and defending America’s natural resources through partnerships with the music industry and the world-wide environmental community. Rock the Earth advocates for and represents those individuals and communities whose natural surroundings, are directly and adversely affected by others. |

Save the Sound
A program dedicated to the restoration, protection, and appreciation of the Long Island Sound region. Part of the Connecticut Fund for the Environment, Save the Sound cleans up beaches, builds fish ladders and successfully defends the Sound from multi-national oil companies. |

Solar Bus
Take a retired school bus, put solar panels on the roof, convert it to run on used vegetable oil, and then paint it green – voila – the Solar Bus. The Solar Bus is a mobile classroom for realistic use of renewable energy. A large battery bank on-board is charged by the solar panels and then used to power small concerts, public speaking events, and nearly anything requiring electricity. Special Olympics Connecticut
Provides year-round sports training and Olympics style competition to people who have intellectual disabilities; Special Olympics offers opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in sharing gifts, skills and friendships. |

Students for a Sensible Drug Policy
(SSDP)
An international grassroots network of students concerned about drug abuse, but who also believe the War on Drugs is damaging society. SSDP mobilizes and empowers young people to participate in the political process. It advocates policies to eliminate counterproductive Drug War policies, especially those directly impacting students and youth. |

The Sky Is Not Limited
The organization hopes to set up renewable power stations for desalting ocean water throughout the world. Stations will use solar voltaic cells to generate electricity thus powering an electric heating appliance that will ultimately desalinate the water. The stations will power themselves during sunlight periods. The aim is providing pure drinking water to people in need all over the world. |

The Wharf Rats
Dedicated concert-goers who choose to live drug and alcohol free. Its primary purpose at shows is availability to people who seek this same freedom. The Wharf Rats does not tell others how to attend shows, rather it offers clean and sober support. It is not affiliated with Alcoholics Anonymous, Narcotics Anonymous or any twelve-step program.
